QA:

U: Who are you and what do you do?
AM: Anette Moi, illustrator and artist.

U: What characterize you work? How would you describe your personal style?
AM: My work is bold, colorful and fun.

U: How do your own experiences influence your work?
AM: Everything I experience, see, read and listen to influence my work.

U: What will you be showing at the uncontaminated festival?
AM: I will be showing art that will make you smile, I want to make people smile.

U: Do artists of today have some kind of of social responsibility?
AM: Yes, I think we have a social responsibility. We are so lucky to be creative and can make art out of what is happening in the world today - we can make pictures of what everyone are thinking and make people understand it better. A picture says more than a thousand words.

U: What is the most important thing in your life?
AM: The most important thing in my life is my family

U: How do you feel right now?
AM: I feel tired (need coffee).

U: If you could change one thing in the world today, what would it be?
AM: I would kick Donald Trump out of USA with my left leg and Siv Jensen out of Norway with my right leg.

U: What are the main reasons you are joining us for the festival this year?
AM: I want to join the festival because it is something new for me and sounds like FUN!

U: What is the most important drive for you to create and why?
AM: The aim to create is inside of me always, its a part of me, so I think that is the most important drive for me to create. I have to , its just natural for me.

U: Who or what do you value as a great inspiration for you creatively?
AM: Music, fashion and pop culture is a great inspiration for me.

U: Can you elaborate on an important moment in your life where you experienced a big change, chose to make one or another event which altered your way of thinking or your approach to creativity?
AM: In 2013 I had a project called “One Drawing A Day” where I drew one drawing everyday and uploaded it on Facebook and Instagram. It made me so much more creative, gave me a lot of needed attention in the first year of me working full time as a illustrator and artist and also gave me commissions!

U: How does digital and social media affect or inspire your life and creations?
AM: Social media (Instagram) is where people see my work and I love the interaction with my followers and I also get a lot of commissions through Instagram. It is very important for my work and I follow many artists who inspires me through Instagram as well.

U: What do you define art?
AM: Art is everything from a kids painting to streetart to Picasso.

U: What is your definition of artistic freedom?
AM: Being able to create what I want even if it's considered controversial or not cool by others.

U: Is there a difference for you between art and commercial/commissioned work?
AM: I try as best as I can to go all in either way, but I do like commercial work that gives me a bit more freedom to shape the project as I want. There will always be a difference because there's always some restrictions when working with commercial work.

U: Do you struggle to find artistic freedom in the span between commissioned work and your personal needs to express yourself?
AM: When I make art I can do whatever I want and when I do commissions I have to do what the client wants me to do (but a lot of clients give me some artistic freedom, which is fun!)

U: What do you aspire to? In the near future? In life in general?
AM: In the future I want to paint more walls! And I want to do more work outside of Norway and have an exhibition in New York.

U: What is a great example of a fashion art collaboration in your view?
AM: Great fashion art collaboration is Louis Vuitton´s collab with Jeff Koons (MASTERS LVXKOONS)
